Call for participation in research sessions to help the government better meet the needs of people with disabilities

Hello Webaim list members,

The General Services Administration’s (GSA) Technology Transformation
Services (TTS) provides products and services that serve the American
public on a large scale. TTS would like to connect with people with
disabilities in order to improve the user experience of products like
Vote.gov, USA.gov, Benefits Finder, and the United States Web Design
System.

Research sessions will be conducted through remote or in-person meetings
which may include:

Interviews to gain understanding of needs and wants from specific
perspectives.

Usability tests to determine if design or implementation changes should
be made.
-

Information or content prioritization exercises to ensure content and
functionality are clear, accessible, and usable by all.

All participants will receive compensation for their time (approximately
$75/hour) with privacy and confidentiality protections. Participants’ personal
identifiable information will not be shared beyond the teams directly
conducting the studies. The research is not scientific or medical in nature
and is only to inform the product and service delivery teams to better meet
the needs of the public.
