WebAIM: Subject Matter Experts to University of Maryland University College grant

  • Funded by: NEC Foundation of America and Verizon Foundation funding, through a subcontract from the University of Maryland University College for 10 months.
  • Work of the project: WebAIM acted as subject matter experts throughout the development of the Accessibility in Distance Education project.

Project Overview

As the Accessibility in Distance Education (ADE) project began in 2002, they were interested in working with WebAIM to ensure that project content was technically sound and complete. They were also interested in having WebAIM perform an evaluation of the ADE web site to guarantee accessibility. Once reports were made, WebAIM assisted ADE staffs in accessible content creation and subsequent review. The ADE project is a valuable resource to faculty who teach online and wish to do so accessibly. See the ADE project materials.
